My Story

My interest in holistic human health and well-being started at a very young age, after sustaining numerous painful injuries during my elite gymnastics career. I was fascinated by how my body responded to treatment by the various allied health modalities I utilised and it was these experiences and my unwavering passion for human health that lead me to a career in Osteopathy.

Having experienced firsthand the benefits of holistic treatment approaches in my recovery, my aim is to recognise and manage the various causes of injury and pain, whether physical, ergonomic, or psychological.  While I enjoy treating whatever presents to me, I have a specific interest in chronic pain management, neck and lower back pain, headaches/migraines, jaw/TMJ pain, and sporting injuries. I also have a keen interest in managing the well-studied relationship between pain perception, mental health, and sleep. My focus is to help encourage patients to take an active role in managing their health while navigating the aggravating factors present in daily life.

As well as utilising Osteopathic techniques such as soft tissue massage, joint mobilisation, and manipulation, I have undertaken additional study, and am qualified in advanced dry needling, electrotherapy, and cupping, advocating strongly for the benefits of dry needling as a supplement to osteopathic treatment. I am currently undertaking additional and ongoing studies focusing on craniosacral biodynamic therapy.

Lauren is available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
